How We Use Animation to Tell the Story of the Supply Chain in a Humanitarian Context

The animated video we produced for Help Logistics (Kühne Foundation, Switzerland) is the most viewed content on Help Logistics’ YouTube channel.

Since being uploaded, everyone can now learn about the supply chain and logistics in the humanitarian context via a short animation. The supply chain is an interconnected system involving flows of goods, people, data and funds. In the humanitarian context, the supply chain encompasses different phases starting with activities to build resilience, strengthen capacities and prepare for operations to come.

When disaster strikes, assessments and planning guide the humanitarian program. The operational phase begins with resource mobilization and the procurement of essential commodities, which are then transported and distributed to the affected population.
